Students from Gosford Hill (Kidlington) and Marlborough (Woodstock) were given a lesson in what it takes to get to the top by former Olympic swimmer Suki Brownsdon.
She took a British Olympic Foundation MasterClass at Gosford Hill – and it proved a great success.
Brownsdon competed in four Olympic Games for Great Britain and also won five Commonwealth Games medals including gold, and a European silver medal.
With Team GB sports dietician Gill Horgan, she gave a wide-ranging presentation, which provided a unique insight into the history of the Olympic Games and contemporary issues such as drug abuse and elite athlete performance preparation.
The session was for A-level students, and was aimed at aiding their physical education courses.
